Natalie & Lenny - Engagements

It was a snowy, cold, icy afternoon but you would never know that the temperature was dismal because Natalie and Lenny were positively glowing.  We are so looking forward to shooting their wedding in the lovely and very warm month of July - just a week before our own!  We snuck down to their church just a few weeks ago to take some test shots and it was so beautiful - I just can't wait to see it all come together!  We are so excited!

Segovia

In January of 2005 I moved to Madrid, Spain... all by myself. No friends, no family. Just an oversized rolling duffle bag with all the personal effects that would get me through the next 5 months. I went equipped with my very first digital camera - the brand new Sony Cybershot with all of its 5.0 megapixels. That was huge then! 5 whole mega pixels!

These were the days before my aspirations of being a professional photographer but none the less, I showed a certain affinity to the art. Well, the visual diary I created with that little camera over those 5 months has laid dormant in a laptop computer that I no longer use. I have no prints or albums... just several folders sitting on the computers desktop. While going through the process of sorting these images I was pleasantly surprised by the spark of artistry I found in my photographs. I knew that I had to share some with you.

While I lived in Madrid for 5 months my new friends and I took many trips around the country. The first was our adventure to Segovia, Spain. What is so incredible about this quaint town is that expansive and towering aqueducts cut through the town like a beautiful highway system. Yes these are the Roman Aqueducts from that golden era so many centuries ago and Segovia's aqueducts are still a marvel to the modern man.

Well here is Segovia through the lens of an original cybershot!
