Little Miss Cecilia

Just look at that smile!  A few weeks ago Eric and I had the delightful opportunity to photograph Little Miss Cecilia.  What a doll!  A bubbly and cooing baby, she definitely kept us moving.  We had so much fun capturing her special little spirit.  She reminded me of a cabbage patch doll with her cute dimple, just on one cheek.  It was a beautiful day, although I believe we were all 'pushing' the season... ready to wear flip flops and our shades.  Even Cecilia was wearing her itty-bitty sandals, and what a wardrobe that girl had!  Mom had fun playing dress up with all of Cecilia's precious little dresses.  However, nothing was as adorable as her big purple bow.

There's that dimple...

Spring Fever

Spring is upon us… or so they say.  The vernal season is apparently in bloom with the passing of the equinox.  However, with the weather we’ve been having it seems these past few days have called for hot chocolate and a cozy fire as opposed to lemonade and one’s hands toiling in a planter box.  The snow fallings have found me house bound and anxious for an out of doors excursion minus the wool coat.  There was a glow, a ray of light, if you will, that made its way through the clouds the other day.  It whispered to me until I picked up my camera and decided to catch it.  This time my beautiful mother played the muse.  We played around the house and in the barren backyard, which is also waiting for what spring will bring.  In the frigid desert that was this Colorado afternoon we captured our little ray of light.  And what a metaphor I discovered once I uploaded my photos because I found my most luminous glow to be my mother… for she is one of my true rays of light.
